Margit the sheep missing in snow drama
- "We have no suspects", say police.
If you have pictures of Margit the sheep or any tips regarding the case, contact Dagbladet .
(Dagbladet): Police in Sunnmøre [that is the area around Ålesund, where Beth lives] today listed Margit the sheep as missing.
The sheep was last seen at a farm in Yste Skotet in October. The sheep is brown and answers to the name Margit, the police have written in their investigation.
The sheep is probably together with a light-coloured lamb and a male lamb with good horns.
When Dagbladet rang this evening the police have not made any progress with the Margit case.
"We have no arrests or suspects. The sheep took a trip last year as well, so this is probably a sheep that wishes to enjoy its freedom as long as possible" says operation leader Einar Rostad.
-"Is the ground snow-free and fine for the sheep to be outside now?"
"No, it's not OK. There's nearly half a metre of new snow in the area, so it is time to come in", says Rostad.
If you see a sheep in the area that matches the description and answers to the name of Margit, you should let the police know.

There are a lot of reader comments to the story, ranging from someone who has set up a support group on Facebook to another with a vivid imagination: "This isn't the last we'll hear of the case. I can already see the follow-up: 'Margit's chopped-up body found in Tesco freezer'" - to which yet another has added that since it's a brown sheep there are probably racist motives.
