1 April - Happy Easter!

Went sledging yesterday up behind the house (photos, left).

6 April - More snow this week, but there are signs all around us that spring is waiting in the wings! (Photo of the pond by the garage with almost no snow left). For those strange few who are especially interested in such things, a new organ has just been built at the quaintly-named village of Julebygda ("Christmas Village") near Sandnes; the best instrument in the district and a joy to play (organ photos here).

9 April - Lambing - No bed for the farmer - just a quick nap when possible in his office in the barn. Round-the-clock lambing is in progress (photos, left). Driving there today, the snow banks are still higher than the car on both sides of the road; only on Saturday the road had to be dug out anew by the snow plough.

12 April - on the water - To celebrate the warm sunshine (at last!) and a day off, Matt took one of the kayaks out on the Ørsdalen lake for its first outing of the year. 2 photos here.

Comments Norah, April 13th, 2018 Lovely to see Matt on the blue water of the lake. Any chance of him rowing as far as the river here to join the little flotilla of kayaks which I am able to watch from my window?! Tim He's in training - we'll let you know when he's likely to arrive!
