Thomas Andrew has been teasing Katie about ferrits (in connection with her guinea pig) and she threatened to get him one for his birthday. When she gave him his present he wisely chose to explore it using a pair of salad tongs, though in the event this was not necessary (the actual present was something else, safely wrapped and buried under the hay).
